Liberation Ventures Grantmaking Exploration Form

Hello! Below is Liberation Ventures' Grantmaking Exploration Form. This form is an entry point to two of LV's grant opportunities: Core Grantmaking and Rapid Response.

Core Grantmaking: LV has an annual Core Grantmaking process that gives general operating funds to reparations movement organizations. The application cycle launches in summer, with award notifications issued by year-end and disbursements completed in the first quarter of the following year. Submissions for the 2027 Core Grantmaking cycle are closed as of July 10, 2026. Core Grantmaking submissions received after July 10, 2026 will be considered for the 2028 Core Grantmaking cycle.

Rapid Response: LV also offers grants to reparations movement organizations who are experiencing an urgent and specific need for funding in response to recent and significant changes. These funds are available throughout the year, outside of the Core Grantmaking cycle. The timeline for Rapid Response is usually 4-6 weeks from form submission until grant disbursement.

This form is intended to be short—please feel no pressure to spend more than 10-20 minutes on it. Our hope is to reduce time burdens, as we will only ask for more of your time (e.g., submitting a full proposal or a call with an LV team member) if we think there is a high possibility that we will be able to provide funding.
